History... Welder

Greer Tank & Welding was founded by Glenn Greer in 1951 at his home in Fairbanks, Alaska. Glenn manufactured tanks at his family's home until 1960 when he built a shop for Greer Tank & Welding.

Expanding to Anchorage in 1972 becoming Greer Tank, Inc., and Lakewood, Washington in 1995, becoming Greer Steel, Inc., the company has withstood the test of time and takes great pride in its products and customer satisfaction.

Two of Ruth's sons are still with the company. David Greer (Vice President) and Mark Greer (General Manager) in our Fairbanks location. Ruth's son-in-law, Stephen Helms is the current President in our Anchorage location.

Greer specializes in quality fabrication, competitive pricing, timely delivery and is known for their continued excellence in safety by the STI Board of Directors.
